Chief Jim Burleigh is proud to announce that the Bellmawr Fire Department was recently awarded two grants that will enhance fire safety in the community; the first was from BRK Electronics a leading manufacture of Smoke Detectors, they provided our Department with 24 smoke detectors free of charge..
The second grant was from the Energizer Battery Company.  They awarded our Department with 200 nine volt batteries free of charge. This grant will allow our Department to continue to install replacement batteries in smoke detectors through out our community. Our Department has installed over 1,000 batteries and or detectors over the past 5 years at no cost to the homeowner. If you are in need of assistance with your smoke detectors please contact the Borough Hall at 856-933-1313 and leave your information and someone from the Fire Department will be in contact with you.
