Bellmawr Fire Department Task Force 33 responded to 1029 Morris Avenue for a reported dwelling fire.   SQT 32 arrived and reported a 1 ½ story wood frame single family dwelling with smoke showing.  SQT 32 secured their own water supply from a nearby hydrant and stretched a 1 ¾ hose line in the front door. Crews encountered fire coming up the basement steps, SQD 45 (Mt. Ephraim) stretched a second 1 ¾ as a back up line and forced the rear bilco doors allowing the crew from SQT 32 to make an aggressive attack into the basement. L-33 and L-736 (Westville) opened up the 1st floor and secured the utilities. The fire was quickly placed under control with no injuries. Crews had to contend with below freezing conditions.  The fire displaced two children and one adult. Quint 1-1 (Audubon) was called as a second RIT as SQD 45 was put to work. The fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office.
